I adore handwritten notes. Once upon a time, handwritten notes and letters were highly coveted. The sentiment mattered. Nowadays, with advanced technology and lack of time, the convenience of text messages, emails, and emojis have taken the lead and handwritten anything tends to be undervalued or considered a waste of time. It is a lost art form.
♥ I love you. Always. ♥
There is something special about putting pen to paper. Regardless of whether it is a simple thank you, birthday/holiday card, or a note in general, someone taking the time to write you a thoughtful note is really special. You can see and feel the emotion in them. I still send and receive them. I love it! Receiving an unexpected note is a beautiful gift. It feels like a child on Christmas morning or opening your lunchbox at school with a surprise note from mom. Upon opening it, you are holding someone’s thoughts and feelings in your hands. It’s deep and meaningful.
Some people love the smell of old books. You don’t get the same feeling reading through an iPad. The same can be said for handwritten letters. No matter how much we try to personalize a digital message, it still doesn’t hold the same value as putting pen to paper. A simple message scribbled on a napkin can hold the utmost value. Handwritten notes make a difference. People remember it.
