Battery Storage

Batteries.jpg

Battery storage is important, not just for containment, but for safety as well. The proper way to store batteries are either in their original packaging, a plastic case or a zip style bag. Do not store them in metal or toolboxes; they will drain the batteries and could conduct heat and start a fire. We can’t stress this enough on all the places we find batteries when we purge spaces.

For more information on the proper storage methods for different types of batteries, please check out this informative article from The University of Alberta

Here are some of our favorite battery storage options. If you opt to store the batteries in a zip style bag, make sure the positive and negative ends aren’t touching because they can conduct heat and start a fire.
